Minister for Children, Education and Lifelong Learning visits Ysgol Bryn Elian
| Minister for Children, Education and Lifelong Learning, Leighton Andrews, visited Ysgol Bryn Elian, Old Colwyn on Thursday 20th May, to see the good work the school is doing in providing an innovative and balanced curriculum for all pupils. Mr. Andrews enjoyed the opportunity to listen to the school’s successful choirs sing, in rehearsal for the national Eisteddfod at the end of May. The Minister also discussed the importance of Student Voice in schools with members of the school council, who were delighted to be able to discuss significant educational issues with Mr. Andrews. The school has raised a significant amount of money for its Madagascar project during the last year, and the Minister kindly completed the final details on the money collection chart for the project, alongside pupil members of the expedition trip that will visit Madagascar this July. |
